The Barre Point renovation is a stunning transformation of a home on the water. The original house was very European, with many separate rooms. The clients wanted to open up the space to enjoy the view from every part of the home. 

 

We renovated the exterior to convert the sunroom to an open deck with a new glass railing. This created more usable outdoor space and addressed the issue of the rotting deck. 

 

We also did a complete interior renovation, including a new kitchen, master bedroom & ensuite, and a new front door. The interior presented a few challenges. We needed to match the existing beams after opening up the space. We needed to be very careful while moving posts and walls & installing the new floors not to damage the original heated floor system that utilizes the boiler rather than electric heating. 

 

This home also had a 7ft cistern for the original well water system. We converted this space to dry storage as the house no longer utilizes well water.
