We were excited to transform this old 40’s Discovery Center into a new and vibrant space. The BC Forest Discovery Center is an open-air museum that educates the public about the forest communities of coastal British Columbia. 

 

We removed the old decking floors and built them up from concrete before covering them in marmoleum, a climate-positive and durable material. The old building needed electrical and plumbing upgrades and new walls to support the beautiful new displays. The exterior features a sliding 3-panel door donated by Wescon Doors in Duncan. 

 

This project was a unique experience to give back to our community and update a space with respect for its history.
