Lakeview Road is a beautiful custom home on Thetis Island. The clients originally wanted a ranch-style house, but the slope of their lot prevented that. Instead, we helped give them the look of a ranch-style home, adding a large crawlspace. Despite the smaller footprint, this home boasts some impressive features, including a 7-foot-tall guillotine-style wood-burning stove unit that acts as a fireplace. 

 

Building a home on an island also presented challenges. We needed to find tradespeople willing to travel and carefully plan the transportation of materials to stay under the maximum weight for the ferry. A tree that fell onto the nearly finished home also complicated this project. Luckily, we could quickly repair the damage and get the client into their newly completed home within a few weeks.
